SCUNTHORPE are looking to record back-to-back wins when they take on Birmingham in the BSN Series at the Eddie Wright Raceway tonight (7.30pm).
A victory over the Brummies tonight, plus an aggregate bonus point at Redcar next week would book Scunthorpe’s place in the semi-finals as group winners.
Jason Edwards will guest for the Scorpions in place of the injured Zaine Kennedy.
Skipper Simon Lambert said: “Wednesday was a massive night! Personally, I feel I’m riding the best I ever have, I’m just struggling out starts as I’m not quite sharp enough yet.
“Having only three meetings in 7 months is never easy! Some guys have done ten plus meetings this year already!
“Obviously we’ve got a busy period soon to sort that out though.
“Tonight is vitally important we finish the job off at home and not undo the hard work from Wednesday! I was a very proud captain at Perry Barr, every single rider put a shift in.
“Connor Mountain and I especially deserved and rode better than the points we got”
