Lambert Returns to Scunthorpe

SCUNTHORPE have announced the return of fans’ favourite Simon Lambert for 2023.

With the Lincolnshire racer heading back to the Eddie Wright Raceway for the fourth straight season, it’s fair to say he enjoys life as a Scorpion and he will captain the outfit once again this term.

Lambert joins Zaine Kennedy, Connor Mountain and Joe Thompson in the Scunthorpe line-up for the new season.

He said: “I’m happy as Larry to be at Scunny and as captain again!

“March really can’t come soon enough for me! Rob (Godfrey) and Dave (Peet) have put together such a great well-balanced team that I believe we will certainly be up there if we all do what we are capable of after hearing of other teams.

“Nobody in the world wants to lift a league title more then myself and I’ve been talking to Rob a lot recently and he’s so excited like myself!

“Let’s hope 2023 is the year as I know I’m ready for it!

“I’m working hard on getting sponsors sorted for next year and I’ve even started on my bikes for the new season!”
