SIMON Lambert is pleased with what he has achieved this year.
After increasing his Championship average the Boston racer has appeared in another British Final and the Premiership Grand Final with Belle Vue.
Lambert said: “That’s another year done and dusted which has been injury free as well.
“It’s been a great year where I have increased my average yet again, I was proud to be captain of Scunthorpe again, but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be this year for them.
“Like to say a massive thank you to my family for their support and always sticking by me, the fantastic sponsors I have and I hope to keep on board for next year.
“The Scunthorpe fans have been great with the noise and support this year through the good and the bad.
“Of course not forgetting Liam – my mechanic for all the hours he’s given up to be part of the journey with me!
“I have a deal sorted somewhere next year which I am really excited about in the Championship and now I just hope the phone rings and I get a double up spot in the Premiership as well.
“I’ve had a few opportunities this year which I believe I’ve proved my worth with a spot in that league and preparations are already in action ready for next year.
“March can’t come soon enough! Thanks again to all for 2022.”
