SIMON Lambert has revealed how privileged he felt representing Scunthorpe in the Championship Pairs.
Scorpions were dealt a bow last week with loss of Ryan Douglas who crashed in a play-off meeting in Poland, which had forced him to miss the Leicester and Pairs fixtures.
James Wright stepped in to partner Lambert at Sandy Lane on Friday night with the duo scoring 18 points for the North Lincolnshire outfit.
Lambert said: “It was an honour and a privilege to represent my team on Friday in the pairs which is a big prestige meeting that is something new to add on the cv!
“I thought James and I did pretty well, we held our own and finished a creditable sixth. I have
Birmingham on Wednesday night against a Coventry select team before a massive meeting at home to Berwick on Friday which we have to win to keep our play-off hopes alive and kicking.”
