Lambert Praises Medical Response To High-Speed Crash

SIMON Lambert has praised the efforts of the air ambulance for their swift response to the Eddie Wright Raceway on Friday.

The Scorpions moved to the top of the table in the northern section of the Jubilee League with a 50-40 victory over Redcar, but the meeting was marred by a high-speed crash involving Zaine Kennedy.

Skipper Simon Lambert said: “It was a great team win and that was certainly for Zaine! It’s the most horrific crash I think I’ve ever seen!

“Although he’s broken bones, he’s a lucky boy and my best wishes go to him because he had just found some good form as well!

“As a team we all helped him out and have been in touch! Before the keyboard warriors start about the fence and the track, it has nothing to do with that because it was down the straight he just couldn’t get off it.

“A massive shoutout to the air ambulance crew they were there extremely quick as well!”

SCUNTHORPE 50: Ryan Douglas 14+1, Tero Aarnio 11+1, Zaine Kennedy 9+1, James Wright 7+1, Simon Lambert 7, Adam Roynon 2, Jake Allen R/R.
