SCUNTHORPE can move to the top of the northern section of the Jubilee League by defeating Redcar at the Eddie Wright Raceway tonight (7.30).
Tero Aarnio makes his return from injury, while Jake Allen is not quite fit, and Scorpions will use rider replacement in his place.
Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey explains: “Tero rode in Poland last weekend, so he will be returning to the side. But, unfortunately, Jake didn’t get the news he wanted when he went for a check-up on Monday and it’s going to be another week before he’s properly fit again.
“We will have to use rider replacement tonight because there are no suitable guests available on his average, but Redcar have had some bad luck of their own because Erik Riss was injured last Sunday while racing in the Polish league, so they will either be using R/R or a guest to cover.
“I’m predicting another fantastic night of speedway, while in a three-team mini-league, it’s vital not to lose at home. We avoided that last week against Leicester, and we need to make sure we get another three points against Redcar to add to our account tonight, ahead of our away meetings at Redcar and Leicester next weekend.”
