Preview: Glasgow vs Scunthorpe

SCUNTHORPE are looking for back-to-back wins against Glasgow as they travel to the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium this afternoon (3pm).

After an excellent 50-40 victory over Glasgow at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Friday evening, the Scorpions are looking to maintain their play-off push.

The away side are again missing Tero Aarnio, who was riding in his World Championship qualifier in Zarnovica, Slovakia yesterday where he failed to reach the GP Challenge after scoring three points.

Justin Sedgmen will ride for the Scorpions in place of Aarnio, in his third guest appearance for the club this season.

Scorpions’ team manager Dave Peet said: “We’re taking some momentum into this meeting, having defeated Glasgow at our place on Friday night, and we’ve got to use that to our advantage. We’ve put in some decent performances at Glasgow in the past and we need to do that again.”

GLASGOW: Craig Cook, Connor Bailey, Ulrich Ostergaard, Benjamin Basso, Tom Brennan, Danyon Hume, Broc Nicol.

SCUNTHORPE: Ryan Douglas, Simon Lambert (captain), Zaine Kennedy, Justin Sedgmen (G), Jake Allen, Connor Coles, Jordan Palin.
