Preview: Scunthorpe v Poole

SCUNTHORPE face Poole in a crunch clash in the race for the play-offs this evening at the Eddie Wright Raceway (7.30).

It’s set to be an historic occasion with the Pirates making their first appearance in North Lincolnshire in what is the Scorpions final league meeting of the season.

The hosts know only a win will do against the league leaders as they sit in a precarious position in table with other teams having meetings in hand for the play-offs.

Dave Peet’s side are still without Jordan Palin through injury and Tero Aarnio with visa issues meaning they will use rider replacement at No.2 and Kasper Andersen guests in place of Aarnio.

Meanwhile, Poole have Kent’s Dan Gilkes as a guest for Stefan Nielsen who was injured at Birmingham last week.

SCUNTHORPE: Adam Ellis, Jordan Palin R/R, Theo Pijper, Kasper Anderson (G), Thomas Jorgensen, Josh MacDonald, Simon Lambert.

POOLE: Rory Schlein, Benjamin Basso, Steve Worrall, Ben Cook, Danny King, Dan Gilkes (G), Danyon Hume.
