Preview: Poole v Scunthorpe

SCUNTHORPE head to Poole this evening with a patched up side following an eventful night at Plymouth on Tuesday night.

Newly crowned British Champion Adam Ellis crashed out of the meeting in a controversial Heat 1 with both Scorpions hitting the deck.

In Heat 3 Tero Aarnio lifted and crashed into the fence off the final bend while Jordan Palin twice came down in first bend incidents in Heat 12 but escaped with minor cuts.

Thomas Jorgensen suffered a hand injury after coming into contact with fellow countryman Bjarne Pedersen in Heat 13, and then Josh MacDonald was left with a swollen wrist after falling with Zane Keheler crashed in the penultimate heat.

Poole, meanwhile, have proven to be tough to beat on home shale so the North Lincolnshire side will be up against it to get a result.

Both Adam Ellis and Josh MacDonald miss the clash with the Pirates with injuries picked up at The Coliseum on Tuesday while Thomas Jorgensen is racing in Denmark.

American duo Broc Nicol and Dillon Ruml come in as guests for the Scorpions.
