SIMON Lambert Racing is pleased to announce that Grimsby-based businessman Carl Thomas has come on board as a new sponsor for 2021.
The family man from North East Lincolnshire works as a photographer specialising in schools and nursey photography. Thomas was first introduced to speedway in 2018 attending meetings at Peterborough which is where he found a passion for the sport.
A delighted Thomas said: “I got to know Simon when he rode for Peterborough Panthers. I liked him as he’s down to earth and local so to speak living in Lincolnshire.
“Now Simon rides for Scunthorpe which is local to me so it made sense to sponsor a rider that I can actually follow and get involved with.
“I’m delighted to be part of Simon’s team. He’s a local rider who is a down to earth, normal guy who clearly loves the sport as do his family.
“For anyone who’d like to sponsor Simon just have a chat to him or his family. All riders appreciate any sponsorship no matter how big or small.
“Unlike football, it’s an expensive sport financed by the riders who would not be able to undertake a sport they love without sponsorship.”
