WE are delighted to say that Simon has agreed to join Scunthorpe in the Championship for the rest of the 2019 season.
He last rode for the Scorpions in 2009 and 2010; where he became a track specialist at the Eddie Wright Raceway.
Lambert comes into their lineup at reserve as a replacement for Josh Bailey – who has retired.
Simon said: “I am buzzing to be back with Scunthorpe, and I can’t wait to get going now. I really enjoy riding at the Eddie Wright Raceway, it is a track I ride well.
“Hopefully it gives me the confidence boost I need and I can start banging the points in at reserve and get some race wins.
“I really enjoyed my time at Lynn – I rode well for them, scoring some good points particularly at home. Hopefully now, though, I can kick on with my season and finish on a high!”
Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey added: “Simon goes well around our track and he will score plenty of points for us at reserve. He will be one of the best reserves in the league – he revels down there.
“We’ve looked at the figures and we’re pretty sure that Simon will stay at reserve for the rest of the season. We think we now have a strong partnership at reserve in Simon and Ryan Kinsley.”
