SIMON Lambert has reiterated his desire to double-up in the SGB Premiership alongside his current racing commitments with Newcastle in the Championship.
Lambert last rode in the top flight with his parent club King’s Lynn at the tail end of 2018 – as he played a key role in the Stars’ charge the play-off Grand Final.
He said: “Things are really quiet at the moment, although I am really enjoying my time at Newcastle I really want some more meetings.
“Having one or two meetings a week isn’t enough, I am the kind of rider who really likes to ride my bike as much as possible. After riding well for Lynn last season, I hoped I had done enough to get a full-time team place in the Premiership, but as of yet nothing has come up.
“June and July is going to be a bit busier with Newcastle, but I am really hoping the phone will ring and I get the chance to double-up.”
