Results and Scores: Tyne-Tees Trophy

Simon made his competitive debut for Newcastle Diamonds at the weekend as they took on Redcar Bears over two legs in the Tyne-Tees Trophy.

Simon added: “It was nice to get some laps around Newcastle but I struggled a bit as it has never been my home track before. I showed some battle with my last ride probably being the worst race.

“There was no pressure on us as such with it only being a challenge, I tested a few setups getting 16 laps under my belt and we now move on to the back-to-back fixtures with Berwick at the weekend.”
