We are delighted to announce that Simon has signed for Newcastle Diamonds, for 2019.
Like fellow recent recruit Steve Worrall, Lambert was initially lined-up to be part of Workington’s line-up this year before the Comets withdrew from the Championship.
Lambert said: “I’m happy to get a place after the unfortunate Workington saga and, it’s a new challenge which I’m really looking forward to.
“I’ve had some good and bad meetings at Newcastle but it’s always different when you’re riding for the home team, so I’m excited by it all and most importantly I must thank my family and sponsors for sticking by me as I thought I was going to be sitting at least the start of season on the sidelines!
“I’m just looking forward to meeting everyone soon, and get some racing for the Diamonds under my belt.”
