Simon Lambert Racing are saddened to hear that Workington Comets have decided to withdraw from the SGB Championship.
The 2018 Championship treble winners had recently said that they were looking for additional funds to help secure the future of the Comets but it seems their hopes have been dashed.
The news is a huge shock for Simon and his fellow riders with the new season just two months away.
Lambert said: “I got the call at 9pm last night to say the Comets weren’t going to run this season. Of course, everyone is shocked and disappointed but I still intend to race this year with new equipment and a racesuit on order.
“I am keen and hungry to get back on my bike and I am open to any offers as I just want to get back racing.”
